A major project for TCDF is support for Damtar primary school, the only school in Damtar settlement.  Damtar settlement is part of Tromthar District, but very, very remote (even though the drive to Tromthar may lead you to conclude nothing could be more remote that it).  Damtar primary school operates as a residential program for the children of nomadic Tibetan families.  The buildings have no electricity, no heat, no running water, or plumbing.  Yet, against the odds, the children learn.  Please enjoy the pictures of a recent trip where we distributed school supplies to each student.
